BSS MONDAY IDEA - Star Fold Card

WELCOME TO THE BUFFALO STAMPS AND STUFF MONDAY IDEA.
I'm excited to share this Star-Fold card with you this week.

This is the completed star-fold card closed.
I used the Inky Antics clear set, Punny Christmas Pups (11129MC)
The Papers are from the Authentique 6x6 Festive Collection.
Snowflakes and pine bough are punched. Colored with Copics.

This is the inside of the card.

Card fully opened.

Here is how you make it.

Start with a piece of card stock 101/2" by 12"
At the top of the 101/2 inch length, mark the center (6")
with a small dot. Line a 12 inch ruler up with that dot and the right
hand bottom corner of the paper and draw a line. Do the same on the
left side. You now have a large triangle. Along the edge of each side of the triangle,
mark the 4 inch, six inch and 8 inch with a small dot. Connect the dots of the
six inch marks to create a small triangle. Connect the four inch dots.
Connect the 8inch dot on the left to the four inch dot at the bottom. Connect the 8 inch dot on the right, with the 8 inch dot at the bottom.

Cut out the large triangle and score all the connecting lines you have drawn.

Fold the first score line up to fit into the center triangle. Fold the second
score line down to form the star. Use a bone folder to crease each fold.

To close the card, tuck each star point one end inside and the other end
outside.

Now for the fun, decorate the star. Make triangles 1/4 inch smaller than the points to mat them.
Trace the inside panels, then make mats just a little smaller. I added a hanger, as this could be used as a hanging decoration for the holidays.

This is a fun project. As with all fold cards, measurements must be accurate for
it to work, so measure carefully. It's pretty easy to put together and fun to decorate.

Hope you have a chance to try this fun fold card.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day.  Until later.........

Looks like so much fun. Yours is beautiful. Definitely worthy of displaying. I like the idea of the hangar.

I think I will send each of my Grans one and ask them to decorate it with their picture for a mantle banner. How cute would that be to have those hanging up for Christmas! Come to think of it, I don't really see my 18 year old Grandson making one anymore. LOL Thanks for the tutorial.
